This beefing thing between CO Z and CHRISTOPH is childishness …. Emmanuel Y. Kortu/MR RAW

    CO –Z    vs CHRISTOPH

This  beefing thing between CO Z and CHRISTOPH is childishness …. Emmanuel Y. Kortu/MR RAW

For the past few months there is noise everywhere,  Liberian Hip Co Music followers are talking, talking and talking about CO-Z and CHRISTOPH, who is the best? Who got Swagg? Who is the best in terms of lyrics? Some are even calling for MC Battle between the two artistes.

Well as a Radio Presenter and Blogger let me add my voice to this.
Beefing is a normal thing in the music game and it is done for three reasons. 1) Artistes engage in beefing to gain media and the audience attention. In this case they pretend to be at each other throat but they both have agreed to do it just to gain Media attention
  2) An artiste might engage in beefing to come back in the game especially when he or she has been silent for a long time. So the artiste look for another artiste who is still making hitz and then ride on that artiste to rise up or gain fame. Here in Liberia we say you want make yourself popular by putting mouth on me.
3) Artistes engage in beefing when they disagree or have misunderstanding for money or woman/men, so the best way to express their anger is through beefing. When an artiste is jealous of this friend work he might do everything to bring him down. In Liberia we say so lay man getting too popular more than me.
Having said that, I want to say that this  beefing thing between CO Z and CHRISTOPH is childishness, Liberia music industry is nowhere as compare to our neighbouring countries. So I think the best thing to do is think about how we can make the music industry grow. How much do Liberian musicians earn  from their music? They perform for little or nothing all in the name of the love of the game. All the musician in Liberia cry for their music to play on Radio and I think is their right to do so but you have to be very careful of the kind of words you put out.
Finally I want to call on the Musician Union of Liberia to call these two Childish Artistes to order.

Can bigfm continue with the 100% Liberian music?

Can bigfm continue with the 100% Liberian music?

Liberian musicians over the years have cried out loud that most radio stations in Liberia do not give enough air time to their music, Something they say is not helping the music industry to grow. On the other hand, many radio presenters also complain about the quality of the music put out by Liberian Musicians.
Who is charge with the responsibility to promote Liberian Music, musicians or radio Journalist/DJ?
It  is from this background that the KABS MEDIA GROUP has decided to have a radio station that is solely dedicated to Liberia music.  KABS MEDIA GROUP owners of BIGFM 103.9 say they are here to stay. Bigfm started broadcasting in Monrovia on june 25,2016 and so far they are doing well but the question is can bigfm continue with the 100% Liberian music? Bigfm is the first and only radio staion that is playing 100% Liberia music. They are also the organizers of the Liberia Music Awards.
